Kinic (“we,” “our”) provides a browser extension and on-chain storage that lets users create a personal, AI-searchable knowledge base.
*Additional bases may apply under GDPR Art. 6 (e.g., legal obligation).
Captured content is encrypted in-transit and at-rest inside Internet Computer canisters. Because canisters are replicated across nodes world-wide, data cannot be “deleted” in the traditional sense. If you delete an item, we logically hide it from retrieval, but on-chain copies remain permanently.
4. How long we keep data
Account data persists until you delete your account. Captured content persists indefinitely on-chain unless technical tools for “garbage collection” on ICP become available.
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with:
Data stored on ICP nodes may reside outside your country. We rely on GDPR Art. 49(1)(b) (contract performance) for EU transfers.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to: access, correct, export, delete, or object to processing of your data. To exercise a right, email privacy@kinic.io. If deletion is impossible due to blockchain immutability, we will explain why and offer logical deletion.
The Kinic website uses only essential cookies. The browser extension does not set third-party cookies.
Kinic is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
We will post any privacy changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes take effect 30 days after posting.
